A general revolution, which started on 20th August 1955, showed the will of the population and the Liberation War Veterans, to end colonial domination. This memorable date, immediately consecrated the intimate binding together of the people with its army.

It then marked the active solidarity of the Algerian people with its Moroccan brothers, engaged in the liberation fight against a common enemy, at the same time confirming the North African Arab nature of the combat. The Algerian Revolution was also required on the international level, as much as for the universal conscience.
