Return to the real sources of the revolution
|
Although priority task could, in some ways, justify postponing suitable solutions to problems, they could not justify the delibarate attitude tending to devide the ranks of the liberation war veterans, initialy, finaly resulting in reducing them to the role of marginal and assisted persons. Otherwise, how can the creation of two separate associations be explained: one comprising former members of the National Liberation Army, ALN, and the other comprising former prisoners.Further, these two associations were, paradoxically, governed by a law inherited from the administration against which the Liberation War Veterans had been fighting. Otherwise, how could the dissolution in 1963, of Ministry responsible for the problems of the Former Liberation War Veterans and war victims, for the simple creation of a Department attached to social affairs, be explained. The Liberation War Veteran whose political maturity was obvious through the armed revolution was able to overcome all the manoeuvres, to remain the symbol of unity and hope in the Nation. He will be the fervent partisan of the reorganization of 19th June 1965, when responding to the call of the People, the ANP,Popular National Army, were the inheritor of the glourious National Liberation Army, designed to end the "couldn't care less" attitude of the State. The proclamation of June, 19th responded to the legitimate wish of the Liberation War Veterans and the Algerian People for a return to the real sources of the revolution. |
